_MG_8106 (Large)Sandra Ivanov is a current postgraduate student at the National Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Otago in New Zealand. She previously completed her BA in History, Political Science and International Relations from Victoria University of Wellington, whilst also undertaking a field study in Beijing in partnership with CUPL and completing an international exchange to RHUL. Sandra has been a student business consultant for a not-for-profit organisation, and is closely involved with the Royal Commonwealth Society in Wellington. Her main areas of interest are in East European and East/Southeast Asian politics, U.S. foreign policy, ethnic and identity conflicts and conflict resolution and transformation approaches.

Thomas Hauschildt works for a London based think tank committed to finding solutions to the social challenges of the 21st century. Thomas earned an MA in Dispute and Conflict Resolution from the School of Oriental and African Studies and holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Portsmouth. In addition, he took part in a research trip to Rwanda, focusing on the post-genocide reconciliation process. His interests lies predominantly in the field of conflict resolution, humanitarian intervention and access to justice. Previously, Thomas worked for charities in the field of conflict resolution and international development as well as the German Navy and NATO.

Tim Forman earned a BA in International Relations and Politics from the University of Portsmouth and his interests include international macro economics and Middle Eastern politics. Tim manages the army of house elves we employ  to run the website and keep it clean. He is also tasked with managing the hamsters on wheels which we use to power the website in order to do our bit for the environment.

GregGreg Dawson gained his BA in Politics and International Relations and MA in Public Administration at the University of Portsmouth. He has continued to study there for his PhD. Primary interests are in European politics, especially British, German and European Union politics, exploring reasons for the policy decision making process in foreign policy. Further interests are in the post-2008 global financial crisis and the challenges of public sector reform.

TIwankowskiTomasz Iwankowski  is a BA International Relations and Politics graduate from the University of Portsmouth and an upcoming MSc student of China and Globalisation at King’s College London who is currently also pursuing a career within the Oil and Gas Industry. Tomasz is one of the original founding members of Conflict and Security, and although no longer working on the project, he still retains great interest with in the field, particularly in macroeconomics, energy and food security, as well as Russian, Chinese and American foreign policies.

CaptureJonathan Lima Matthews is an International Relations graduate from the University of Portsmouth. Since leaving Portsmouth he has travelled to Washington, D.C. where he was a policy intern in U.S. Congress with the chair of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen. Jonathan has since been appointed as the communication and administration officer on the ASPIRES project at King’s College London, where he will also be studying for his master’s in Brazil in Global Perspective at the Brazil Institute. His interests lie in Brazilian, U.K., and U.S. foreign and domestic policy, conflict management and resolution, democracy and democratisation, and security. You can find Jonathan on LinkedIn.
